Panthers linebacker
Thomas Davis, who tore his ACLs on three separate occasions in his NFL career,
was already known for his resiliency. So, when Davis broke his right arm in the
NFC championship game, had surgery, and vowed to play in the Super Bowl, his
promise was taken seriously. Davis did play against the Broncos, and recorded
seven total tackles. The linebacker wore a protective cast over his stitches,
but after the Panthers lost, he showed a photo of the arm. (Warning: it looked
gross.) Davis said the photo wasn’t about him, but, man, you can take a little
credit if you want.
