Best new artist
nominees and chart-climbing singer-songwriters Tori Kelly and James Bay hit the
stage together at the Grammys on Monday night to perform two of their biggest
songs to date, “Hollow” and “Let It Go," respectively. Marking both their
first Grammy nominations and their first Grammy performances, the artists showed
off their quietly powerful vocals, as well as their skills on the guitar.
During her walk on the red carpet, Kelly promised CBS that their mash-up would
be "stripped down" "organic" and she delivered on her word.
Standing across from one another on a small, circular stage, Bay sang his tune
"Let It Go" first, as Kelly backed him up. Kelly then took her turn
with "Hollow," which Bay accompanied her on. When the duo hit their
high notes, the impressed Grammys audience showered them in applause.
